How corrections are handled
When we confirm a factual error, we update the article as quickly as possible. Material corrections should be reflected in the article itself and may be accompanied by an editor note explaining what changed.
Clarifications and updates
Not every change is a correction. Some edits are routine clarifications, style improvements or developing-story updates. When a change materially affects the meaning of a report, we aim to make that transparent to readers.
